Why have I been charged multiple times in a month?
You may have multiple payments in a month depending on the products or services you have and when you signed up.
Here’s how charging works today
Upfront Mobile, Data and Internet plans
Whether you have one or more Upfront Mobile, Data or Internet plans, the cost of these services is charged on the same date of every month. The payment date is typically based on the date that you initially signed up to Telstra.
Device on Repayment
If you add a new device on a repayment option to an existing service on an Upfront plan, the monthly device cost will be debited on the same day you pay for your Upfront plan.
Entertainment Extras
If you add a new device on a repayment option to an existing service on an Upfront plan, the monthly device cost will be debited on the same day you pay for your Upfront plan.
Multiple payments – before 30 August 2022
Device added prior to 5 April 2022
If you add a new device on a repayment option to an existing service on an Upfront plan, the monthly device cost will be debited on the same day you pay for your Upfront plan.
Upfront Internet plans added prior to 30 August 2022
If you’ve added an Upfront Internet plan and you already have a service on an Upfront Mobile plan or Upfront Data plan, you’ll have different payment dates. The monthly payment date for your Upfront Internet plan will be based on when the service is fully connected.
