You can choose to register your phone number as either listed or unlisted in printed, online and voice assisted directories. These settings make your phone number private or public as follows:

  • Listed - your name, address and phone number details will be available in online, printed and voice assisted public directories.
  • Unlisted - your details will not be included in printed and online public directories.

Important: Directory listing settings apply to each service separately.

How can I change my 'Directory Listing'?

In the My Telstra App

  1. Sign in to the My Telstra app with your Telstra ID
  2. Go to Services
  3. Select the service you'd like to view
  4. Go to More options (3 dots)
  5. Select Manage privacy settings
  6. Under Directory Listing, choose your preference and Submit. 

In My Telstra in a browser

  1. Sign in to My Telstra with your Telstra ID
  2. Go to Services
  3. Scroll to the service you'd like to view
  4. Select Manage
  5. Then, View plan details
  6. Under Directory Listing, select Manage
  7. Choose your preference and Submit

Important: It may take up to 3 days to add or remove your details in the Online White Pages and Directory Assistance. And changes will be updated in the next issue of the printed White Pages.

What does it cost?

There is no additional charge for our unlisted service option.

Important: Our unlisted service option won’t stop telemarketers calling your phone.

How do I stop telemarketing calls?

To stop receiving telemarketing calls, you can register your details on the Australian Government's Do Not Call Register. Telstra does not operate this register.

How do I change my Caller ID preference when making calls?

You can change your Caller Identification so that your phone number is either visible or not visible when making calls.

In the My Telstra App

  1. Sign in to the My Telstra app with your Telstra ID
  2. Go to Services
  3. Select the service you'd like to view
  4. Go to More options (3 dots)
