We’re phasing out a few Pre-Paid features
To simplify the Pre-Paid plans we offer, and to help you get the most from our mobile network, we’re busy redesigning some of our Pre-Paid services and saying goodbye to a few features. From 13 October 2020, these features will no longer be available on our Pre-Paid plans.
Credit Me2U
You’ll no longer be able to transfer credit from one account to another. To enable you to transfer your balance before then (if you want to), until 13 October, we’ve upped your maximum to $200/transfer, up to $1,000/day.
Telstra Air

Your Pre-Paid service will no longer be able to access our Telstra Air Wi-Fi spots from 1 November. 

SMS or BPAY recharge payment

After 13 October, please use #100# to recharge, change plans or view your balance. To see other recharge options, just visit recharge.telstra.com.au

Message Bank Call Back
If you’d like to use our Message Bank make call back services after 13 October, simply SMS +61101.

Telstra Air

  • Telstra has decided to cease offering Telstra Air on our Pre-Paid plans so that we can simplify our Pre-Paid plans and services.
  • If you’re already registered and using Telstra Air today, you will be able to continue to use FON while overseas until your Pre-Paid service is moved to our new platform.
    We’ll be in contact with you before we move your Pre-Paid service to our new platform. Find more on using Telstra Air overseas.
  • If you’re already registered and using Telstra Air today, you will be able to continue to use Telstra Air until your Pre-Paid service is moved to our new platform after 1 January 2021.

  • You can still register for Telstra Air; however, you will only be able to use Telstra Air until your Pre-Paid service is moved to our new platform.

Credit Me2U

  • We’ll soon be moving to a new Pre-Paid platform and launching simpler products and services for all our Pre-Paid customers. As those plans will come with included calls and data in place of a Pre-Paid credit balance, Credit Me2U will no longer be needed. While Credit Me2U was a great feature when we launched it many years ago, it’s not been available on our latest plans for the last few years as we’ve added in unlimited national calling and increased the included data of our plans.
  • We’ve increased the amount you can transfer in each transaction up to $200 and increased the daily limit on transactions to $1000. So, you can transfer your balance to the service or services you want to before 13 October 2020.

USSD

  • Use #100#, it’s got all the same options as #125#
  • Dial #100# and press Send or Dial from your mobile and follow these steps:

    1. Select Reply then 3 for Account Management, and press Send/Reply
    2. Select Reply then 2 for Change Plan, and press Send/Reply
    3. Select Reply then the number next to the plan you want to change to, then press Send/Reply
    4. Select Reply and 1 to accept, then press Send/Reply

    Good to know:

    1. You’ll receive an SMS confirmation on your mobile device
    2. To finalise the change and enjoy the new plan, you’ll need to recharge your Pre-Paid service

BPAY

  • You can recharge your Telstra Pre-Paid service online using your credit card or debit card, PayPal or a voucher.

     

    Good to know:

    Payments made via PayPal will be re-directed to an external webpage for sign in and confirmation of details.

     

    Use the My Telstra app

    1. Download or open the My Telstra app
    2. Select the Services tab then select the mobile service you’d like to recharge
    3. Tap Recharge and follow the prompts

     

    Use My Telstra

    1. Sign in to My Telstra with your Telstra ID and password
    2. If you have more than one account, select your Pre-Paid service from the dropdown list at the top of the page
    3. Next to your service, select Recharge and follow the prompts.

     

    Use recharge.telstra.com.au on your mobile

    1. Go to recharge.telstra.com.au on your Pre-Paid device’s browser
    2.  Enter your Pre-Paid mobile number and follow the prompts

     

    Other ways to recharge

    • Dial #100# from your Pre-Paid mobile and follow the prompts
    • Recharge or purchase a voucher at any Telstra store
    • Purchase a voucher at participating partner stores
  • As we’ve shutdown the Telstra Pre-Paid biller code (150979), please contact your bank to ensure your funds are returned to you.

  • You can recharge your Telstra Pre-Paid service online using your credit card or debit card, PayPal or a voucher.

  • Your recharge won’t have been applied and you should receive a message to let you know other ways to recharge with Telstra Pre-Paid.
  • You can use your saved payment details to recharge using one of our other recharge options like recharge.telstra.com.au

Pre-Paid Complete

  • You won’t lose your unused data as you still have until the expiry date of the previous recharge to use it. You need to keep recharging $10 or more for data to be saved in your Data Bank.

  • When you recharge $30 or more, you’ll get included international call minutes to standard numbers in 50 selected destinations in both zone 1 and zone 2. The number of included call minutes depends on the amount you recharge. View the Pre-Paid Complete plan inclusions for more information.

    Selected destinations for each zone are as follows:

     

    Zone 1

    Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, UK, USA, Vietnam.

    Your Extra Credit can be used to send international texts charged at 20c per text. It can also be used on calls to destinations not included in the ones above. View the full international call and text rates.

  • You won’t be able to purchase content from Google Play using the included credit on this plan.
