The way to manage your Pre-Paid service is with the My Telstra app. You can easily:

  • Check your balance 
  • Recharge
  • View usage and recharge history
  • Change your Pre-Paid offer
  • Download a tax invoice
  • Set up auto-recharge

Cancel my Pre-Paid service

Your Pre-Paid SIM card will be automatically deactivated 6 months after the expiry date of your last recharge.

  • Your Pre-Paid SIM card will be automatically be deactivated 6 months after the expiry date of your last recharge.

  • If you want to cancel your service now, Message us to request the deactivation of your SIM card.

  • Yes, you can keep your existing number when you change to another Telstra mobile plan.

  • Activate your Pre-Paid service online in a few simple steps:

    1. Go to prepaid.activate.telstra.com.au
    2. Enter your SIM serial number (on the back of your SIM kit)
      serial number on a SIM kit packaging
    3. Choose to transfer your number from your current provider, or get a new Telstra number
    4. Choose whether you’d like to activate your SIM for a mobile or for another data-only device
    5. Fill out your ID details
    6. Enter your contact details
    7. Select a plan and recharge
    8. Confirm your details and click Activate.

  • A digital voucher is available for $30, $40, $150 and $300 online recharges.

    1. Go to Pre-Paid recharges

    2. Choose the recharge value you wish to purchase - $30, $40, $150 or $300

    3. Select Email me a digital voucher

    4. If the amount you’ve ordered is correct, tap Next to continue

    5. Enter Your Details, including your email address. 

    6. Tap NextReview and Submit

    7. To continue, review and agree to the Critical Information Summary, Customer Terms and Privacy Statement

    8. Enter your Payment Details and select Place order securely

    9. You can print your order details

    10. Your order confirmation and recharge voucher PIN will be sent to you via email

    11. Use your Pre-Paid voucher PIN to recharge your phone online before it expires. Go to recharge.telstra.com.au and follow the prompts.

     

  • If you're on a new Pre-Paid mobile plan (Pre-Paid Mobile, Pre-Paid Mobile Casual, Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband):

    1. Select Services
    2. Select the Pre-Paid mobile number
    3. Select More with your mobile
    4. Select Usage history 
    5. Select Calls

    For all other Pre-Paid mobile plans:

    1. Select Services
    2. Select the Pre-Paid mobile number
    3. Select More with your mobile
    4. Select Usage history
    5. Choose the month you'd like to view your usage report
